United States. – A woman, a 21-year-old student, took her iPhone for repair in an official Apple technical service. Days later he discovered that his nude photos and explicit videos had been leaked on the internet. Apple had to pay millions in compensation.
It was in 2016 when the student asked Apple’s technical service, at a workshop authorized by the company in California, to fix her iPhone. Soon after, her photos and even sex videos were posted on her personal Facebook profile, as if she had uploaded them herself.

10 private images and videos were leaked, and according to the lawsuit, they were only removed from his Facebook when the victim’s friends notified him that these photos had appeared on his profile. This being a violation of a customer’s privacy, so Apple fired the employees involved. After almost 5 years later, Apple has agreed with the victim a compensation of “several million dollars” for what happened.
