MTV today revealed the list of nominees for the most important youth award in Latin America. Where KAROL G, leads the nominations followed by BAD BUNNY, DANNA PAOLA, SEBASTIAN YATRA, KIMBERLY LOAIZA, J BALVIN AND ROSALIA. The 2021 MTV MIAW Awards are presented by Samsung Galaxy. They are the biggest celebration of Latin American pop culture, where fans choose the hottest and most shared of the year in music, social media, viral hits, gaming, film and TV. The event will be hosted by Kali Uchis and Kenya OS, the awards will be broadcast on MTV Latin America on July 13 at 10:00pm (Mexico and Colombia time) and midnight. (Argentina time). For the most coveted award “MIAW Icon”, face the digital stars Kimberly Loaiza, Kunno, Kenia Os, Domelipa, Jashlem, Jimena Jiménez, Brianda Deyanara and Rod Contreras.La category “Bomba viral” awards the most commented and shared videos and viral phenomena of the year, among the nominees: El niño del Oxxo, the photo of the Chilindrina in a bikini, the long-awaited reunion of RBD, the viral song Ay Rico Rico Rico, the birthday girls, “Kill me that memory of that bitter love”, the #SilhouetteChallenge and the Ciclovía de Puebla.Other viral phenomena, but for the wrong reasons, also achieved nominations to the MIAW. The “It’s very cringe” category rewards the most embarrassing videos and moments that gave us grief this year, such as Paty Navidad and her conspiracy theories, the fake fight of Barbara del Regil and Mariana Rodríguez, Trump who did not want to accept his defeat, the beating of the gold field, the boy showing off his Gucci clothes and the shameful vacation of Hugo López-Gatell in the middle of the pandemic in Mexico.In the most celebrated musical category, “MIAW Artist” face Bad Bunny, C. Tangana, Danna Paola, J Balvin, Karol G, Maluma, Rauw Alejandro and Natti Natasha.La vote for the 32 categories opens today and will be available until July 7.
