This Thursday afternoon, The Chief of Staff, Santiago Cafiero, and the Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, will hold a meeting with epidemiologists and experts to trace a follow-up of the health situation in Argentina and outline the next measures. According to official sources, the meeting will be at 6 p.m. and virtually. Hours before, Cafiero will receive his counterparts from The City and Province, Felipe Miguel and Carlos Bianco, respectively, to analyze the epidemiological situation in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area.
Both meetings will take place prior to the expiration of the DNU signed by the Executive to curb the spread of COVID-19 and that, according to the sources, will repeat the “traffic light” modality next to be announced before the weekend.What is the “traffic light” modality? With the DNU in force until Friday at 23:59, the national government established nine days of strict isolation, which were between 22 and 30 May; five days with the highest ratings, from 31 May to 4 June; tougher restrictions last weekend, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6; and the last days of this stage (from 7 to 11 June) again with flexible measures.
