It is a single-dose vaccine with an effectiveness of more than 68% to prevent infection and more than 95% to prevent deaths and serious cases. It is stored at a temperature of between 2 and 8 degrees. Almost at the same time that, through social networks, the Health Ministry authorized the use of this vaccine, the province of Buenos Aires confirmed an agreement to purchase 5 million doses.
Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof explained that there are “four conditions for the arrival of the vaccine,” one of which was approval for emergency use. The other three are the availability for the shipment of the doses, the approval of the contract by the Chinese government and finally that “the vaccination campaign requires those doses”.
