A Magical Town, according to the Ministry of Tourism, is a site inhabited by symbols, stories and legends that, in some cases, were scenarios in which important events in the history of Mexico took place.Nuevo León has three of these towns defined as magical, by the secretariat of tourism: Santiago, Linares and Bustamante. The first received this appointment in 2006, the second in 2015 and the last in 2018. 1. Santiago
Without a doubt Santiago is the most popular magical town in Nuevo León; it is located less than an hour from Monterrey and in addition to the colonial architecture of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, among its main tourist attractions is the famous Cola de Caballo Waterfall.Another of the most visited places in the beautiful town of Santiago is the Presa de la Boca, where you can find crafts, restaurants and bars. Los Cavazos is a very busy shopping area where you can find the best crafts in the region.

2. Linares
This town is located just over two hours from Monterrey and its historic center is its most emblematic place; we recommend you to visit the plaza de armas, the linares museum and the old casino. The gastronomy is another of its most remarkable characteristics, in this town you can eat a delicious dulce de leche quemada better known as Glorias. If you prefer nature, Linares has for you the dam of Cerro Prieto and Nogalar Park.
