A count of heart attack in the competition between Karina Oliva (Commons-FA) in the Metropolitan Region and Claudio Orrego (DC-Constituent Unit) appears as the main news of this second round of regional governors that takes place this Sunday in 13 regions of the country.
According to the Count of the Servel, with 16,800 tables counted out of a total of 17,925, corresponding to 93.72%, Karina Oliva reaches 48.28% (660,907 votes), while the former superintendent passed the top in the count and obtained 51.72% (707,934 votes).
The vote count has reflected a wide difference of Oliva in communes such as Maipú, Pudahuel and Puente Ato, while the former superintendent prevails in other sectors, such as Las Condes and Vitacura.
While the competition in the Metropolitan Region has become the mother of all battles in this second round, with the dispute between the two souls of the oppositions, the election takes place in 12 other of the 16 regions.
On this day the winners will be defined in Arica and Parinacota, Tarapacá, Antofagasta, Atacama, Coquimbo, O’Higgins, Maule, Ñuble, Biobío, Araucanía, Los Ríos and Los Lagos.
In the first round, the regions of Valparaíso, Aysén and Magallanes already defined their new authority when the winner reached the threshold of 40%.
