The Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Power of the Federation (TEPJF) sanctioned Morena with 268 thousand 860 pesos, for the dissemination of messages during the electoral period, where the president’s party was awarded the distribution and application of vaccines against COVID-19.
By unanimous vote, the judgment of the Specialized Regional Chamber was confirmed by the spot broadcast on March 20.

“Morena committed an infraction by spreading on March 20, 2021 — that is, within the inter-campaign period of the current federal electoral process — through Twitter a message alluding to the vaccination campaign implemented by the federal government with the message: ‘That is why we distributed and applied the vaccine against COVID-19 free of charge to everyone,'” the Courtroom detailed.
He also claimed the message on Twitter was deleted, so Morena argued that the evidence to prove the violation was “insufficient.”

However, “the denounced tweet was found in 16 accounts of that social network, in which it is warned that the message did indeed exist, and in all of them you could see the brand that corresponded to the official and verified account of the denounced party,” he explained.
