The Guanajuato Attorney General’s Office confirmed the link to the trial of Jose Antonio “N,” alias “El Marro,” leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel (CSRL), after shooting at the apprehending elements leading his capture.
He was linked to criminal proceedings for the crime of attempted homicide, the court said, to the detriment of public servants of the Guanajuato Criminal Investigation Agency.
The attack stemd from the arrest of the leader of the criminal group, during an operation led by the Agency, deployed in the municipality of Juventino Rosas, Guanajuato, in which he attacked the elements with the intention of avoiding their capture.

“The agent of the Public Prosecutor’s Office provided technical-scientific evidence before a judge,” the FGE reported through its Twitter account.
It was in continuation of the initial hearing that the MP provided evidence in his presentation, supported by opinions of technical and scientific studies within the research folder, he said. Noticieros Televisa.
According to the same media, based on the explanation, the judge considered that the data were sufficient and suitable to be able to proceed to link ‘El Marro’ to criminal proceedings.

This is not the first time that the leader of the Guanajuato criminal group has been linked to criminal proceedings in criminal terms, since the first time was in August 2020, for his probable participation in the crime of aggravated kidnapping.
This process happened after his apprehension, on August 2 of that same year, in a property of his property known as Las Gelleras, in the municipality of Juventino Rosas.
That day, ‘el Marro’ was apprehended along with five other people and a woman allegedly kidnapped, aged 52, was rescued.

José Antonio Yépez is credited with a high number of criminal acts in which he is directly or indirectly identified as a possible mastermind, due to his leadership position in the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel.
Among them is a systematic operation to steal fuel from Pemex for at least the last decade and has cost the state-owned company more than one hundred billion pesos in losses.
