translated from Spanish: Break in I approve dignity: Regionalist Federation freezes relations with its Communist Party partners and does not rule out supporting Gabriel Boric

Through a letter addressed to Communist Party President Guillermo Tellier, the Social Green Regionalist Federation (FREVS) announced its decision to freeze the talks to move forward with the construction of parliamentary lists. The letter is signed by the national board, parliamentarians, elected constituents and regional presidents, among others.
This decision, communicated by FREVS President Jaime Mulet, shows the annoyance of the Regionalists for not having been considered in the preparation of the government program presented a few days later by the PC presidential candidate, Daniel Jadue.
“The Social Green Regionalist Federation Party (FREVS) has decided to freeze the talks related to the construction of a parliamentary agreement between communists and green regionalists because there has been no political will on the part of the PC to move forward in the construction of the same, as had been promised,” the letter states.
The Regionalist Federation also warns that it is not closed to seeking “with other political actors within the transforming forces the agreements or pacts to ensure a parliamentary majority that allows to realize in democracy the changes that the country requires.”
In the same vein, Mulet did not rule out possibly supporting Gabriel Boric, to the detriment of the PC candidate, Daniel Jadue, and in his statement they assure that this decision will be made after meeting with both candidates.
“Regarding the presidential primary of our pact “I approve Dignity”, given the lack of interest of your party in incorporating ours in the elaboration of the government program and spokesmen, already officialized and made public, and that we join the campaign teams, our party has decided to postpone its support option until it has a meeting with each of the two presidential candidates to define their option and support from our militancy and supporters.”
“In these meetings we will deliver to both our proposals, especially those that relate to decentralization, territorial equity, regional development and the environment, matters on which we observe important weaknesses, deficiencies and gaps,” frevs president Jaime Mulet emphasized.
