Morelia, Michoacán.- A total of 353,288 pesos with 68 cents are owed as salaries and benefits to 46 teachers of the National School of Higher Studies of the UNAM located in this Michoacan capital.
According to a press release of the General Assembly of Teachers of Subject (AGDA) in which they point out that in response to the statement of Direction of the ENES Morelia published on June 11, 2021 in which it is claimed to have covered in a 99.2% the debits of payroll to teachers of subject, the teachers of asignatura still register pending payments of payroll, stimuli

This is in contravention of the provisions of collective labour agreement, clause 45, which indicates under what circumstances withholdings, discounts and deductions may be made.
Those affected pointed out that these irregularities are systematic and widespread, and there is a history that in other entities of the UNAM they have occurred at least since 2016.
“We consider this to be an untenable situation that has violated the rights of subject teachers for years, as well as families who depend on this economic income. All this has happened under the administration of Mr. Marco Antonio Dominguez Méndez, director general of the Directorate General of Personnel at least since 2014. Under these arguments we join the request expressed by the teachers of the Faculty of Sciences of the UNAM demanding the resignation of said public official and we demand the Rector Dr. Enrique Graue immediately order an audit to the General Directorate of Personnel that reveals what has been the destination of the payments to teachers of subject that were not covered during the administration of Marco Antonio Domínguez”.
It should be remembered that the teachers have been on work stoppage for 80 days, distancing themselves from job insecurity, a protest to which some students joined and although there is dialogue with authorities, the restoration of work has not yet materialized.
