It was a historic Sunday for the Argentine Beach Volley. In Paraguay and Chile, the Argentine national teams achieved the Olympic place at stake and Argentina qualified for the Olympic Games in both branches for the first time. The Argentine duo formed by the platense Brenda Churín and the marplatense Cecilia Peralta, won against the Venezuelan Yuli / Daniela with the following partials: 22-20, 22-24 and 15-13.In London 2012 Argentina was represented by Gallay / Zonta and in 2016 by Gallay / Klug.

In the men’s match in Santiago de Chile, attention was focused on the Capogrosso/Azaad and Hernán/Peter duels. There the Argentines triumphed 2-0 and unleashed the celebration for the men’s branch to return to an Olympic Game after 13 years. In this way the Argentine beach volley team will participate in the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games that will take place from July 23 to August 8, in the capital of Japan.
