From the Economy Ministry stressed that the improvement in June was driven by taxes that respond to economic activity (+ 81.2% year-on-year), the Fuel Tax (+120.6% i.a.), VAT (+85.0% i.a.), Internal Taxes (+31.5% i.a.) and the Tax on Credits and Debits (+73.6% i.a.), although the latter continues to be affected by the exemption to the Health sector. In this context, taxes related to international trade recorded the largest increases, as a result of the higher prices of agricultural products, and the increase in the exchange rate. Thus, the VAT charged by Customs increased 121% to $109,030 million; since export duties grew 138%, with revenues of $86,236 million and while import taxes increased 114%, with 31,951 million.
