Two paramedics were killed Wednesday night in the community of La Florida, in Valparaiso, Zacatecas.
According to the Jalisco government, the two men worked at the Hospital of Huejuquilla El Alto, and had gone to Fresnillo, Zacatecas, to drop off a patient.
In the hospital where they worked they waited for their return at 20:00 hours, however they did not arrive. At approximately 11:30 p.m., Valparaiso Public Security personnel reported that they had located the jalisco health ministry ambulance abandoned and lit.

Through a statement, the state government said the two bodies of the paramedics were found with bullet impacts on different parts of the body.
The Autonomous University of Guadalajara lamented the murder of one of the victims, Luis Fernando Montes de Oca Armas, a social service student at the Faculty of Medicine.
“We want to express our condolences to his family and friends by sharing the grief over his irreparable loss. We regret the acts of violence that have arisen recently and we hope for the support of the authorities to stop this type of situation,” he said on social media.
