translated from Spanish: in the face of low influx, citizens are asked to be vaccinated against covid-19

With 22 percent of its population inoculated, Chiapas is one of the states with the lowest vaccination range against Covid-19 in the country.
In Chiapas, vaccination centers have had little influx and through social networks has been exhibited photographs of spaces intended for inoculation completely empty or with less than a dozen people, given the situation, the state government and health authorities have urged Chiapans to come to inoculate themselves against Covid-19.

The entity arrived this Friday a delivery of 300 thousand vaccines against COVID-19 from the laboratories AstraZeneca and CanSino, upon arrival, the general director of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), Master Zoé Robledo, said that the goal is to apply 50 thousand daily doses.
“That’s our goal, it’s not easy but I’m sure that working in a coordinated way, with a lot of organization, with a lot of dedication and a lot of passion we will achieve it,” he said.

The head of Social Security said that the 300 thousand vaccines “represent 30 percent of the doses that had arrived so far in Chiapas, approximately more than a million were in the state.”
During a visit to the Macro Vaccination Center “Caña Hueca”, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, called on Chiapans to come and get vaccinated against covid-19.
“We are all against the coronavirus and we have to prove it by going to get vaccinated,” the Social Security head said.
He also said that vaccination is the way to combat the pandemic, “it is the most efficient tool for us to move towards this new normal that we all crave.”
In turn, he noted that, “every time a person convinces someone else, especially in the most at-risk age groups, to get vaccinated, they are doing the most loving, caring and patriotic act they can do right now to end the pandemic.”
With just over 600 thousand people vaccinated, Robledo said that “the effort we are making is to give a new opportunity to those over 60, over 50 and also over 40 who for some reason were not vaccinated the first time, to know that there is a new opportunity.”
