Mexico City .- The governor-elect of Michoacan, Alfredo Ramirez Bedolla, participated in a meeting with President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and members of the federal cabinet in which they analyzed the security strategy, and proposed agreements to strengthen it.
The meeting was attended by the 16 acting and elected governors from Morena, as well as the head of the federal executive, and on behalf of the security cabinet; Olga Sánchez Cordero, Secretary of Government; Luis Cresencio Sandoval González, Secretary of National Defense; José Rafael Ojeda Durán, head of the Navy; Luis Rodríguez Bucio, commander of the National Guard, and Rosa Icela Rodríguez, secretary of Public Security and Citizen Protection.
With the state governors, it was agreed to work on a strategy of full coordination between the federation and the states in order to curb the incidence of crime, particularly that related to homicides. President López Obrador said the purpose is to work together with all the country’s governors.

Ramirez Bedolla reiterated that, because of the security crisis in Michoacan, it is urgent that the acting governor, Silvano Aureoles Conejo, work in coordination with the federal government to restore tranquility to michoacans.
Finally, he held the meeting with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and called on the state governors to set aside the different policies and participate in the federal strategy without simulations, since the security of citizens demands the will and effort of all levels of government.
