The body of a four-year-old girl, who was reported missing, was located last night, July 16, in a wooded area of Cuautepec, Mayor Gustavo A. Madero.
The minor, identified as Isabel, was last seen on July 11 in the Cuautepec Bario Bajo neighborhood in the company of her mother.

In a press release, the Capital Prosecutor’s Office said that the mother, stepfather and grandmother were arrested for their alleged connection with the minor’s femicide.

He explained that a relative of the girl received a phone call to notify her that the victim’s body had apparently been found in the Chalma neighborhood of Guadalupe, so personnel of the Investigation Police (PDI) responded to the call.
Upon going to the scene, the authorities confirmed that it was Isabel.
The agency announced that it initiated an investigation folder for the crime of femicide and brought Noah “N”, Yessica “N” and Maria “N” before a judge.
The Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) acknowledged that from January to May 2021 the crime of femicide increased 7% throughout the country, compared to the same period a year earlier.
