On the other hand, 239,915 votes were cast for the Chile Vamos pact. In first place is Sebastián Sichel (Independiente) with 115,972 votes (48.34%), Joaquín Lavín (UDI) with 77,781 votes (32.46%), Mario Desbordes (Renovación Nacional) with 27,148 votes (11.32%) and finally Ignacio Briones (Evópoli) with 18,924 votes, 7.89%.
Boric was able to reverse what looked like a run-off race in favour of Jadue, who in the final stage of the campaign made a series of mistakes that are costing him dearly.
Sichel, on the other hand, seems to be watching the third presidential race of Joaquin Lavin, who is again suffering a defeat in his attempt to reach La Moneda.
Lavin, who chose to concentrate on thinking about the first round and define himself as a rival of Daniel Jadue, is surpassed by the only independent in the race in Chile Vamos.
The figures also hint at a higher turnout than in 2013, when nearly three million Chileans out of a roll of 14 million went to vote, while four years later the figure dropped to 1.8 million.
