Through a statement, the agency indicated that the underlying price index showed an increase of 0.31% fortnightly and 4.64% annually; meanwhile, the non-underlying price index rose 0.55% fortnightly and 9.34% annually.
Within the underlying price index, at a fortnightly rate, the prices of goods increased 0.37% and those of services 0.24%.
Within the non-underlying price index, the prices of agricultural products grew 0.33% and those of energy and tariffs authorized by the government grew by 0.72% fortnightly.
The products with rising prices were onion, zucchini, LP domestic gas and packaged tourist services, while grapes, melon, green tomatoes, papaya, lemon, eggs and avocado reduced their price.
