Next Sunday, August 1, a nationwide referendum will be held for the first time.
In this democratic exercise, a question will be asked to see if the citizens agree to start different research processes with respect to the acts and decisions they took political actors in the past.

Rather, according to specialists, it could lead to an effort to create mechanisms such as truth commissions, which investigate the past of impunity in the country, try to repair the damage to victims and yes, even get former presidents investigated.
¿How the query will work? Where do you have to go to participate and what are the schedules? Here’s how we explain:
Where and at what time do I have to participate?
The consultation will take place at the receiving tables, for which the INE enabled a page where you can locate the one that corresponds to you, according to the area where you live. It’s about Locate Your Table.
All you need is to enter https://ubicatumesa.ine.mx/, select the entity where you reside and write your electoral section, which you can find at the bottom of the voting card.
Registering this information will immediately display the address and location of the receiving table to which you can go to participate for the Popular Consultation 2021.
The schedule to participate will be of the 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 1.
What do I need to bring?
According to the INE itself, you need to present yourself on August 1 to your corresponding table only with your voting card, which must be valid.
As part of the health care protocol, the Institute established the umandatory cover-ups and recommended carrying a pen of his own to enter on the ballot.

Sanitary measures will be implemented, such as the application of sanitizing gel when entering and leaving the box, as well as respect for the healthy distance.

The results of the Popular Consultation will be obtained from the computations carried out by the District Boards of the INE.
However, it is up to the General Council of the Institute to carry out the total count, to declare the results and validity of the Popular Consultation, as well as to announce the final results of this exercise.
It all starts in the District Boards, which will compute the minutes from the arrival of the first package from the receiving tables to the headquarters of the District Board.
Within 48 hours of the conclusion of the district counts, the Executive Secretary of the INE will announce the result to the General Council of the Institute.
The Council, in turn, will perform the full computation and the Declaration of Results 72 hours after the Executive Secretary provides the information.
the final results of the national count will be released after the period for challenges and, if the case arises, once the decisions of the electoral judicial authority at the federal level have been resolved.
