Lugi Melieni Mollo, better known as Gino Renni, died on Sunday morning from complications from the coronavirus he suffered a few months ago. The Italian actor had been hospitalized at the Argentine Institute of Diagnosis and Treatment since June 6, Renni was vaccinated with both doses of the Sinopharm vaccine, but was hospitalized for bilateral pneumonia, caused by Covid-19, which later led to a more aggravated health condition. “It’s a weird and difficult birthday, I’m with a little mild oxygen in my nose and hoping that this happens as quickly as possible,” he had said in dialogue with A24, since at the time of being hospitalized he was turning years old. Born in Calabria, Italy, on June 7, 1943, but based in Argentina since the age of three, the actor had a very wide career in comedies on national television, as he was part of great successes such as “Brigada Cola”, “Mesa de Noticias” and “Operación Ja Ja” among other outstanding series. In addition, he participated in several popular films of the national cinema of the 80’s such as “Explosive Brigade”, “Explosive Brigade against the Ninjas” and “The Killers in the Mansion of Terror”. On the other hand, one of the first to echo the sad news was producer Gustavo Yankelevich, who fired him with a message on Twitter. “May you have a very good trip tano dear.
