Hungary.- Bad day for Formula 1, especially for the teams of Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes that at the start of the race lost a driver after a strong crash between Sergio Pérez, Valtteri Bottas and Charles Lecrlerc on lap one and that also conditioned the race for Max Verstappen because his car was also affected. At the Hungaroring circuit, it was provisionally suspended after these accidents due to the numerous debris present on the track. It started again about half an hour later. 2nd on the starting grid, Bottas came out badly and hit Lando Norris (McLaren) from behind, who took the lead over Verstappen, who had placed second.

While Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), in pole position, escaped the accident, Verstappen was hit on his right side and, although he was able to avoid retirement, he became 13th. Bottas subsequently collided with ‘Checo’ Perez, forcing both drivers to abandon. So did Monegasque Leclerc, beaten by Lance Stroll’s Aston Martin.

Restarting the race

Hamilton, although he came out of last place, had an impressive comeback to the point of getting into the Top 5 of the race. Max Verstappen could not recover and left between the middle and the end of the group which caused him to lose units. In the end the race took its normalcy and the positions did not move as much. Esteban Ocon (Alpine) was proclaimed champion of the Hungarian Grand Prix, as second Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin) and surprisingly the third place was the British Lewis Hamilton, returning in masterful way and sneaking to the podium. After him came Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) and Fernando Alonso (Alpine) to close the Top. Dutchman Max Verstappen salvaged points by finishing in 10th place. The Top 10 is completed by Gasly, Tsunoda, Latifi and Russell.
