translated from Spanish: They set maximum prices for LP Gas: these are the ceilings

The Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) established regulation of maximum prices for liquefied petroleum gas – better known as LP gas –, which will change weekly and vary according to the region of the country.
This is in compliance with the “Emergency Directive for the Consumer Welfare of Liquefied Petroleum Gas”, published by the Ministry of Energy (SENER) on July 28 in the Official Journal of the Federation (DOF), where the CRE was urged to establish “a methodology” that sets maximum prices for the final consumer of LP Gas.
“At a cost that provides for the development of industry and guarantees the preservation of democracy based on the economic, social and political development of the country and its inhabitants, which will be valid for six months.”

The table of the maximum applicable prices will be updated every Saturday and the start of the validity will be on Sunday, ending until the following Saturday.
In order to establish the quantities, the Commission will use the 145 price regions that conform to the existing municipalities, established by the Ministry of Economy. These regions may be modified based on changes and adjustments observed in the LP Gas market.
Since last Sunday it is already available the first price table, which began to apply that same day and will be in force until August 7.

Below, we present the average price per kilogram in some entities of the country, which vary according to the municipality:

Mexico City: the average price is 21.33 pesos.
State of Mexico: the price varies from 21.33 to 21.83 pesos.
