Mexico.- Through a petition, the board of directors of the National Gas Guild requested support from the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), with the aim of reaching an agreement on the maximum price of LP gas. Through a document sent to Leopoldo Vicente Melchi Garcia, president commissioner of the CRE, the gas operators said that, almost a week after the rule requested by the Secretariat of Energy (Sener) entered into force, they have had to face “a difficult situation to maintain and continue” with the activities corresponding to their union. In this regard, they specified that, in this context, their entire chain of operation is harmed, from the training of personnel, maintenance, salaries, operating costs, as well as compliance with the regulations that are required of them. In view of this, the Council made a request, in which they propose four points: first, to ensure that there will be no reprisals against the members of the National Council of the National Home Guild, so that they can express themselves freely in accordance with the law; secondly, to set up a joint working group on Saturday, 1 August of this year, until an agreement can be reached between all the parties involved. They asked that it be carried out at sener’s facilities.For its part, the third point indicates that, as part of the working table that will be installed in Sener, a pricing methodology will also be determined that benefits families, gas companies, and the Mexican State.
