The Ministry of Health recorded 24,975 recent cases of COVID-19, the highest number reported in daily reports since the beginning of the epidemic in Mexico.
So far, 3 million 45 thousand 571 people have become ill with the virus, however it is estimated that 146 thousand 525 (4.5%) are active cases of COVID-19, due to recent symptoms.

According to figures from the agency’s daily technical report, the trend in cases increased by 4% between the 29th and 30th weeks of the year.
In addition, it confirmed 608 more deaths, so Health recognizes at least 246,811 deaths from COVID.
59% of the population, vaccinated against COVID
So far, 74 million 802,779 vaccines against the virus have been applied; one million 31 thousand 29 of them this August 11.
The doses applied correspond to 52 million 624 thousand 341 people vaccinated, 59% of the adult population in Mexico.
Only 28 million 384 thousand 141 have a complete vaccination schedule.
