Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) reported that the production of 421,000 barrels per day of crude oil on the E-Ku-A2 platform was restored and the 125 wells, which closed, have already been rehabilitated, after the fire in the Ku-A process center of the Ku-Maloob-Zaap Production Asset, in the Campeche Probe.
Due to the fire, which occurred on August 22, there was a deferred production of 1.6 million barrels, the agency said in a statement.
He pointed out that the activities to resume oil production in the complex were carried out in accordance with and compliance with the Safety, Health and Environmental Protection (SSPA) policy, without accidents that affected personnel, or incidents in the facilities or damage to the environment.
“The activities developed for the restoration of production in this asset were carried out through the sum of efforts of Pemex’s operational personnel, in conjunction with its service providers,” said the parastatal.

Octavio Romero Oropeza, general director of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), reported on August 24 that the fire on the E-Ku A2 platform affected the operation of 125 wells, which implied a reduction in production of 421,000 barrels per day.
This represented 24% of the daily production of barrels, which will lose approximately 24.9 million dollars per day, estimating the international price of the Mexican mixture was 59.16 dollars.
