Over time, some accounts became inactive, either because they moved to another messaging service or because users don’t enter their email, so Microsoft decided to update its activity policy.
The new policy indicated that accounts that have remained inactivity for a period of two years from August 30, 2019 will be deleted, so that this August 30, 2021 many accounts could disappear.
