The Ministry of Health reported on Thursday 594 cases of covid-19, in addition to 50 deaths in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, positivity is 0.94% nationally and 1% in the Metropolitan Region.
“Positivity in the Metropolitan Region is 1% and 15 regions have a positivity less than or equal to 1%. 14 regions decrease their cases in the last 7 days and 15 do so in 14 days. The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is -15% and -29% for the comparison of 7 and 14 days respectively, “said the Minister of Health, Enrique Paris.
Of the total cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, 381 have symptoms, 175 are asymptomatic and 38 were not reported.
With these data, the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 1,639,698, while the deaths total 36,995. Meanwhile, the active cases are 3,648.
To date, 635 people are hospitalized in intensive care units, of which 475 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the integrated health network, there is a total of 509 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are.
