The Ministry of Health delivered on Thursday a new balance of the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in Chile, a day marked by 515 new cases, 37 deaths and a national positivity of 0.87%. In addition, they reported new changes in the Step-by-Step Plan.
As for the latter, five advances and one setback were reported, which will take effect from next Saturday, September 11 at 5 in the morning. As for the figures, of the new cases reported today, 316 correspond to symptomatic people, 154 do not present symptoms and 45 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified. With the 37 deaths confirmed by the Department of Statistics and Health Information (DEIS), the total number of deaths amounts to 37,159 in the country.
To date, 553 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU), of which 413 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 499 critical beds available.
60,081 PCR tests and antigen tests were performed, reaching to date a total of 20,736,412 analyzed nationwide. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 0.87% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 1%.
