During noon today, President Alberto Fernández received the Committee of Experts and Infectologists at the Quinta de Olivos and thanked them for their work in the fight against Covid-19.
The president acknowledged the “permanent assistance” of the specialists towards the Government and thanked them for the “help and effort” to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
The head of state was accompanied by the first lady, Fabiola Yañez; the Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti; and the Chief of Staff, Santiago Cafiero.
On behalf of the committee of experts were Pedro Cahn, Eduardo López, María Marta Contrini, Carlota Russ, Ángela Gentile, Mirta Roses, Luis Cámera, Javier Farina, Pablo Bonvehí, Gonzalo Camargo, Pascual Valdez and Gustavo Lopardo.
When reporting on the lunch in Olivos, the Government stressed that “it took place outdoors, in the park of the residence, respecting the distancing and the sanitary protocols in force.”
The specialists had questioned on different occasions the lack of compliance with the protocols by the President, both at the dinner with Evo Morales, and in the meeting with the trucking leader Hugo Moyano and after the dissemination of images of Yáñez’s birthday celebration in the middle of the strict quarantine.
