UDI Senator Iván Moreira responded to the parliamentarian of the same collectivity, Claudio Alvarado, who rebuked the performance of chile’s Podemos+ presidential candidate, Sebastián Sichel, during Wednesday’s debate. In this regard, Alvarado said that “there are many more people than he thinks are vitripping with (José Antonio) Kast.”
“Clearly last night Kast gave Sichel a lesson on how to go find the right-wing electorate. In addition, he did it with tranquility, peace, security and cunning. If Sichel and team insist on ‘the old politics’ and platitudes he will be in serious trouble going forward,” Said Senator Alvarado.
In response, Senator Moreira said in a video that “when things are not going well, the logical thing is to change course, to improve in unity. We have to make our commitment with loyalty after the results of the primary.”
“When things are going wrong, the logical thing to do is to change course. These are not times to go around vitripping. (…) Who won the primary was Sebastián Sichel, and we must support him strongly and improve what needs to be improved, “added the UDI legislator.
