“Venusterio” is the title of the new plaque with which the famous Chilean singer-songwriter, Chinoy. With this fifth album to date -whose title alludes to the special room in which inmates can keep love dates-, the rock, singing and trova artist will display, apart from his greatest hits, songs that deal with the couple and their trajectories, their philias and phobias; as well as erotic openness and conflict, chaos and desire.
“And in the rot of love burns the venusterian; a flower of reverberation that explodes in the fingers and in the dust of the two hearing in the sky cages of dawn”, quotes the song “Venusterio” that synthesizes the theme of this new work under a network of sounds of the world and urban rigor; a hip hop mixed with the Middle East to achieve a harmonious musical mix between the ancestral and the absolutely modern.
Chinoy has emerged as one of the most outstanding and prolific singer-songwriters of the current Chilean music scene after the release of the studio albums “Que salgan los ladrones” (2009), “De loco medieval” (2015) -presented in the space of Providencia-, “Saliendo del Otro” (2020) and “Valpo lo hizo cantar” (2021), plus a live album, “Chinoy en Bogotá” (2010), among other informal editions.
The show that Chinoy will present is the reinvention of a deeply natural artist, capable of developing his songs in different formats, where his brilliant poetry and his special voice prevail, with a more urban ballad, more sophisticated, in complete mutation of his cantata.
