The Ministry of Health confirmed 713 more deaths from COVID, adding up to 280,607 deaths recognized by the disease, since the beginning of the epidemic.
It also identified 7,697 recent cases, bringing to least 3,699,621 people who have fallen ill with the virus.

However, authorities estimate that only 47,944 (1.2%) are active cases of COVID, due to recent symptoms.
This despite the 11% decrease in the trend of cases, between weeks 37 and 38 of the year, according to data from the technical report.
104 million COVID vaccines
In Mexico, 104 million 554 thousand 441 vaccines against the virus have been applied, 720 thousand 886 of them applied this October 5.
The doses administered correspond to 65 million 692 thousand 31 immunized people, 73% of the adult population in Mexico.
However, only 70% of them have the complete COVID vaccination scheme.
