The Ministry of Health registered 6,320 recent cases of COVID-19, for a cumulative of 3 million 738 thousand 749 people who have fallen ill with the virus, since the beginning of the pandemic.
However, the authority estimates that 40,403 (1.0%) are active cases for presenting symptoms in recent days.
In addition, they confirmed 420 more deaths, so there are 283,193 officially recognized deaths from COVID.
According to data from the daily technical report, the trend of cases decreased by 27%, between weeks 38 and 39 of the year.
One million more COVID vaccines applied
The Ministry of Health reported the application of one million 25 thousand 505 vaccines against the virus on October 12, to accumulate 108 million 947 thousand 179 doses applied.
This implies that 67 million 340 thousand 974 people have been immunized, at least with one dose, 75% of the adult population in Mexico.
However, only 73% of them have the full COVID vaccination scheme.
