The Ministry of Health identified 4,798 recent cases of COVID-19, for a total of 3,772,556 people who have fallen ill with the virus since the beginning of the epidemic.
However, the agency estimates that 33,880 (0.8%) are active cases, for presenting symptoms in recent days.

According to data from the daily technical report, the trend of COVID cases maintained a reduction of 22%, between weeks 39 and 40 of the year.
However, authorities confirmed 322 more deaths from the virus, bringing the total to at least 285,669 deaths confirmed by the disease.
113 million COVID vaccines
In Mexico, 113 million 471 thousand 215 vaccines against the virus have been applied, 450 thousand 121 of them used this October 20.
The doses correspond to 69 million 612 thousand 911 vaccinated people, with at least one dose, 78% of the adult population in Mexico.
Only 75% of them have a complete scheme against COVID.
