Image Television captures 10% of the audience in 5 years

On October 16, 2016, in Mexico there were only two free-to-air television networks, which had already been on the air for many years and, being the only ones, monopolized the audience.
Five years later, the picture is completely different, because since October 17 of five years ago Imagen Televisión began broadcasting and currently already has one in 10 viewers in the country.
And although it sounds simple, achieving 10% of the audience nationwide has not been an easy task on the part of the channel headed by Olegario Vásquez Aldir, since in this period they managed to gain ground against the competition, and create an alternative offer with truthful, attractive and relevant content for all Mexicans.

In half a decade highlights the creation of programs such as Sale el Sol, Rocío a tu Lado, De primera Mano, Qué Chulada, El Minuto que cambió mi destino, Adrenalina, De pisa and Corre, among others.
For example, Rocío a tu lado achieved an average daily audience of one million viewers and El minuto que cambió mi destino has been watched by more than 6 million people in 2021. Meanwhile, the sports program Adrenalina, with Javier Alarcón, reports having been seen by more than 3 million people this year.
“I ask people to give us a chance, criticism is always welcome (…). We are going to make this a platform from which we all, I am sure, will benefit and feel proud,” said Vásquez Aldir five years ago at the beginning of Imagen Televisión’s broadcasts.
In that period it also stands out that this television station broadcast events that have gone around the world and was the official broadcaster of the Olympic Games.

It also highlights the coverage made by the television station during complicated events such as the september 2017 whether or currently the COVID-19 pandemic.
And it is that currently figures from the television station indicate that about 25 million people are aware of the newscasts of their drivers: Ciro Gómez Leyva, Yuriria Sierra,
Gómez Leyva is a journalist with more than 40 years of experience and who has worked for such relevant media Expansión, El Financiero, Reforma, CNI canal 40 and Milenio, among others; Sierra, with more than 15 years of experience, has interviewed characters such as Carlos Salinas de Gortari, Vicente Fox, Felipe Calderón and Enrique Peña Nieto, Arturo Pérez Reverte, Gilles Lipovetsky, the Nobel Prize in Economics Joseph Stiglitz, Juan Gelman, Elena Poniatowska, José Emilio Pacheco, Oliver Stone, Alfonso Cuarón, Emmanuel Lubezki and Alejandro González Iñárritu among others; and Zea is the winner of the National Journalism Award in 2013.
