Between yesterday and today, more than 1.6 million doses of Pfizer will arrive

Last Wednesday, the Ministry of Health of the Nation announced that this Thursday afternoon a new shipment will arrive with 687,960 doses of the Pfizer vaccine.It will be through an American Airlines flight that will be added to the 936,000 inoculants from the same laboratory that arrived at the Ezeiza Airport yesterday morning. In this way, Argentina will add 1,623,960 units of the Pfizer vaccine in two days.

According to what has been reported by the health ministry, these doses will be used to continue with the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in adolescents between 12 and 17 years old, which has already reached 54.2% of that age range with the vaccination scheme initiated. To these shipments are added the three shipments with 414,000 single-dose vaccines of Cansino received between the early hours of Wednesday and last Sunday. In this way, the country will reach tomorrow the 86,380,950 doses received since the beginning of the vaccination plan. Of this total, 14,683,210 correspond to Sputnik V (10,125,655 of component 1, and 4,557,555 of component 2), and 4,914,500 to Sputnik V produced in Argentina by the Richmond laboratory (1,179,625 of the first component, and 3,734,875 of the second); 25,188,400 to AstraZeneca (580,000 from Covishield; 1,944,000 received by the COVAX mechanism, 19,912,000 from AstraZeneca and Oxford whose active ingredient was produced in Argentina; 2,202,800 donated by Spain, and 549,600 by Canada). 30,000,000 to Sinopharm, 3,500,000 to Moderna donated by the United States; 1,014,000 to Cansino and 7,080,840 to Pfizer.

According to the Public Vaccination Monitor, of the 69,982,434 doses distributed throughout the country, 59,319,085 were applied: 33,611,401 as the first dose and 25,707,536 to complete the scheme.
