Forest fires damaged almost 2 thousand m2 of grass

Around 2,000 square meters of vegetation were affected by two forest fires in the Gustavo A. Madero mayor’s office, according to the Heroic Fire Department of Mexico City.The first of the accidents began after 6 p.m. on the hill of Zacatenco, on the borders with the State of Mexico, and a few blocks from the campus of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) where firefighters went to fight the flames. While, shortly after an hour of work to extinguish the flames and cool the area, the Firefighters of the CDMX reported on the conclusion of the fire. Similarly, the firefighters stressed that in the foothills of the hill were affected by the fire 400 square meters of grass, logs and leaf litter, without people injured in any of the incidents being reported. And it is that on the slope of the same hill of Chiquihuite, but at its end in the State of Mexico, a split caused the death of four people, also leaving hundreds of victims. While in the area of the ecological reserve of the Sierra de Guadalupe there was a fire in mid-February of this year, and in which in addition to the firefighters participated in their combat volunteer community members and personnel of the Commission of Natural Resources and Rural Development (Corega) capital, leaving damage to more than 20 hectares during the almost four hours that lasted on.
