Carlos Chandía surprises by exercising his right to vote in Coihueco

The former FIFA referee and mayor of Coihueco, Carlos Chandía, surprised this Sunday by exercising his right to vote without problems in the presidential, parliamentary and regional councilor elections. Remember that the communal chief suffered a serious accident on July 15, when he was driving his vehicle in the Ñuble Region. He overturned almost four months ago next to the van he was driving on the route that connects his commune with the city of Chillán. He was in serious condition and was at risk of death. As reported by La Discusión de Chillán, the residents of the commune of Coihueco were very excited this morning to meet Carlos Chandía, who voted at the Guillermina Drake Wood School.Even, a significant number of people approached the former collegiate to greet him and express signs of support for the recovery of his health. The 54-year-old mayor who was discharged in September, showed on November 4 the important advances in his recovery. On that occasion he left a greeting on video, thanking the signs of affection. The current communal chief of Coihueco was a professional referee between 2001 and 2009, being considered one of the best in Chile, then dabbling in politics and becoming mayor in 2012.
