Parisi plummets against presidential candidates: “Both have serious problems”

The leader of the People’s Party, Franco Parisi, has not yet clarified about possible support from his sector in the face of the presidential runoff on December 19. His supporters will be key to the election of the next president, where they positioned themselves as the third majority with 899,403. The questioned former candidate went into a tailspin against José Antonio Kast and Gabriel Boric.
“Both have serious problems, but in particular Gabriel Boric’s economic program is going to be very problematic for Chile. Boric wants a bigger state, but he stifles entrepreneurship. Enlarging the state is not financially logical. There is a political myopia,” he said in conversation with LUN.
He also added that “in the part of governance, Kast has shortcomings. It’s one thing to win the presidency and another thing to win power. President Piñera has had great difficulty governing, for example. We must build power and governance at the same time. President Allende, for example, won the presidency, but not the power. Chile is having a bad memory and that means that there are ghettos of economic, political and social power that are doing Chile bad.”
Despite the accusations of sexual harassment, fraud, millionaire debt for alimony and the questioned political campaign in a telematic way, Parisi was one of the great winners of these elections. On his atypical electoral crusade, he indicated that “virtual campaigns are here to stay. This ancient system of walking around the territory by mule makes no sense.”
After postponing his arrival in the country on several occasions, Parisi said that “I would like to be in Chile for Christmas.”
