The Minister of Economy, Lucas Palacios, called to “take care of Chile” in the face of political uncertainty in the face of the second round -where the presidential candidate of Apruebo Dignidad, Gabriel Boric, and the letter of the Christian Social Front, José Antonio Kast- will participate, which could affect investment and employment.
“Let’s take care of Chile for the next few years. The economic projections for 2022 are not good, as political uncertainty is perceived, affecting investment and employment,” Palacios said on his Twitter account.
“The political debate must have the height to generate certainties for the future,” the secretary of state added.

Palacios delivered those statements in the context of the results of the Monthly Index of Economic Activity (Imacec) of October, which reflected a growth of 15% compared to the same month of 2020. The industries of services, trade and production of goods are the ones that contributed to this rise.
