Nine bags with human remains found in Fresnillo, Zacatecas

Nine bags with human remains in the municipal capital, Fresnillo, Zacatecas, were located on Saturday afternoon.
The first discovery was made in the Felipe Ángeles neighborhood, behind the Santa Cruz pantheon, where four black bags were located.
According to the newspaper Milenio, in the heart of the municipal capital, between Durango and Encino streets, the authorities confirmed the discovery of five more bags with human remains.

It was the neighbors who made the 911 report, to indicate the presence of at least five suspicious bags.
The elements of the National Guard (GN) and state police arrived at the place, who guarded the perimeter.

In both cases, forensic personnel from the Attorney General’s Office arrived to take charge of the initiation of the investigations and recover the bodies to transfer them to the Institute of Forensic Sciences to proceed with their identification and know exactly the number of victims.
Given the increase in violence and insecurity in Zacatecas, the federal government announced that it will increase the number of elements of the Army and National Guard in the state, security will be sent to nine municipalities without a police presence and military security posts will be installed on the communication routes with other states.
The Secretary of National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval González, reported that the entity will have 3,848 elements to safeguard the security of citizens.
On Tuesday, November 23, eight bodies were found hanging, on a bridge and in trees, in different parts of the municipality of Fresnillo, Zacatecas.
While on Thursday, November 18, the bodies of 10 people were found in the municipality of Ciudad Cuauhtémoc.
