He took his sick dog to the beach to see the sea for the last time.
The Italian took his best friend to his favorite beach. There he laid her on the sand, rested her head on a pillow and covered it. Greta stared at the sway of the waves and could feel the sea breeze for the last time. The man gave his pet one last experience at his favorite place. The end of Greta, afflicted with a terminal illness, was known.

The farewell happened three years ago but the photographs shared by the Italian have gone viral again. It served as a kick to the users of social networks to publicize their history with their respective pet. Many caregivers have suffered the loss of their best friend and are still grieving just like Piero Temperato himself.The Italian made it clear that his life without Greta is not the same and that he misses her as the first day. “If I could… I would ask you to be reborn again… and then again… until the end of my days… Not yours,” he said on social media.
