Covid report: Minsal reports 38 deaths in the last 24 hours and 1,516 new cases are reported

In a new covid report released by the Ministry of Health, 1,516 new cases were registered and 38 people lost their lives due to causes associated with the virus in the last 24 hours. At the country level there is a positivity of 2.67%.
So far, 1,779,865 people have been diagnosed with covid-19. in which 10,026 are in the active stage and 1,726,184 people have recovered from the virus. On the other hand, the number of deaths in Chile throughout the pandemic has been 38,638 people.
The daily positivity in the Metropolitan Region is 1% and 12 regions register a positivity equal to or less than 3%.
The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is -20% and -24% for the comparison of seven and 14 days, respectively, and 13 regions decrease their new cases in the last seven days and 14 days. 
According to sampling, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are Aysén, Los Lagos, Los Ríos and Valparaíso. Meanwhile, the Aysén region has the highest current incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by the regions of Los Lagos, Atacama and Los Ríos.
To date, 682 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 589 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 186 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are.
Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, yesterday the results of 52,579 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported, reaching to date a total of 26,225,407 analyzed nationwide. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 2.67% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 1%.
With respect to the Health Residences, we have 47 lodging facilities, with 4,484 total beds. The actual occupancy nationwide is 54%, leaving a total of 1,620 beds available to be used.
