Health reports 3,180 cases and 293 recent deaths from COVID-19

The federal Ministry of Health confirmed 293 recent deaths from COVID-19, for a total of 296,186 deaths recorded since the beginning of the epidemic in the country.
In the last 24 hours, 3,180 new cases of the disease were reported, which adds up to 3,911,714 cumulative infections.
According to the daily technical report, there are currently 20,241 estimated active cases of COVID-19 in the country and 3,266,965 people recovered.

In addition, there was an 89% reduction in hospital occupancy nationwide, with a 12% drop in ventilator beds and no change in general beds (17%).
The top 10 states that accumulate the highest number of cases are: Mexico City, State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Tabasco, Puebla, Veracruz, Sonora and San Luis Potosí; together they make up 65% of all cumulative cases registered in the country.

Health officials said that in the last five weeks, most cases are present in the 18-29 age groups, followed by the 30-39 age group and the 40-49 age group.
Only this Thursday, 454,142 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were applied, for a total of 135,481,459 doses applied reported.
So far, there is 86% coverage in vaccines among the population over 18 years, with 65 million 630 thousand 611 people with the complete scheme and 13 million 571 thousand 457 with new schemes.
