Massa, Guzmán and Alberto: meeting in Olivos after the first legislative defeat

Alberto Fernández summoned for this afternoon the president of the Chamber of Deputies Sergio Massa and the Minister of Economy Martín Guzmán to a meeting to discuss the future of the budget items in 2022. The conclave will be in the Quinta de Olivos and the main heads of the ruling party will evaluate the future after the first legislative defeat with the composition of the new Congress.

Official government sources explained that the objective will be to “analyze how to continue and what possibilities there are” for the Law of Laws to be approved by legislative means, or else they will resort to a presidential decree. “The President will make use of Law 24,156 to extend the current Budget, and manage the resources so that 2022 is another year of recovery, with more public capital, education, health and knowledge, and that we can advance on a path of lasting progress,” Economy Minister Martín Guzmán said on his Twitter account.
