Nora Ruvalcaba Gámez has twice been a candidate for governor of the state, first in 2010 with the PRD and then in 2016 with Morena, and has already served as a local deputy. She was an official of the Institute of Education of Aguascalientes in the management of the PRI Carlos Lozano de la Torre.
In 2019 she joined as regional coordinator of the Institute to Return the Stolen to the People, and in 2021 she assumed as superdelegate of social programs in her state.

In 2018, Mara Lezama won the mayoral election of Benito Juárez (Cancun), and in 2021 she was re-elected to that position for a second three-year term.
The 52-year-old Lezama has worked as a host and media director in Quintana Roo. The year 2016 was the first time she ventured into politics, when Morena had appointed her as flag bearer to the same mayor’s office, but she declined, alleging death threats.
According to her curriculum registered with the National Transparency Platform (PNT), Lezama has a degree in Communication Sciences with a specialty in Marketing and Advertising.
