Blondie, the daughter of Pity Álvarez, surprised singing a hit of “Intoxicados”

Away from music and stages Pity Álvarez has someone to follow his legacy and it is none other than his daughter Blondie who with only nine years showed off singing one of the hits of the band that led his father to consecrate himself as one of the references of national rock. The little girl sang the song “Reggae para Mirtha” with the group’s bassist, Jorge Rossi. Before singing the song Blondie said a few words and wished a merry Christmas to the users of Instagram, social network in which the musician uploaded the video.

Quickly the post was filled with comments from fans of the band who celebrated the meeting and congratulated Blondie for his talent for music. “Incredible what genes are”, “What is inherited is not stolen”, “What genius this video, “She is the daughter of the king”, expressed the users. Blondi is the goddaughter of Charly García who, according to her mother, accompanied the family closely when Cristian Gabriel Álvarez Congiú, better known as Pity Álvarez, was arrested on July 12, 2018 for the murder of Cristian Maximiliano Díaz, a neighbor of the Lugano neighborhood. Charly and his girlfriend Mercedes were great companies for her and her little girl: “They were the only ones who helped me. It was never known, but they are made of iron,” he said in a dialogue with Clarín.

That early july morning Pity got into an argument with Diaz, who allegedly accused him of stealing some belongings from his backpack. That’s when the musician pulled a .25-caliber pistol out of his coat and fired three shots at Diaz. The first in the head and while the man lay on the floor he finished it off with three others. Everything happened at the access door to Tower 12 in the Samoré neighborhood of Lugano. Shortly after the fact, the musician and his girlfriend got into their Volkswagen Polo and a few meters later asked the young woman to throw the gun into a sewer of the Dellepiane Sur collector.

Minutes later, they arrived at the Pinar de Rocha bowling alley, where they attended a recital. After being on the run for several hours, Pity turned himself in at police station 52 and spoke to the press. “I killed him because it was him or me. And I think any animal would do the same,” was his public statement back then.
