Jadue and eventual participation of the PS in Government: “It is a party with which we have worked for much of the history of Chile”

Daniel Jadue referred to the eventual incorporation of other center-left forces into Gabriel Boric’s ministerial cabinet. Specifically, the mayor of Recoleta alluded to the Solicialista Party (PS), indicating that “we invited him to be part of our primary long before this was resolved in the second round and Gabriel was elected President of the Republic, therefore the willingness to work an alliance within the framework of the left with the PS was always there.” And although, he replied that “it could not be realized before”, he sees no problem “that it will be concretized in the future. It has never bothered us or worried us, it is a party with which we have worked for much of the history of Chile.” However, about the parties that are grouped with the PS in “democratic socialism”, such as New Deal, the Liberal Party, radical party and the PPD, Jadue warned that “a large part of their leaders at the time of the primary repeated that one of the problems they had to participate in a space where we were was the presence of the PC”. “Therefore, we will have to ask them if now that we have to form a government that annoyance with working with the PC is gone.”
