Measures announced to prevent Covid-19 infections in Tamaulipas

Tamaulipas.- In order to reduce the growing number of Covid-19 infections in the state of Tamaulipas, it established new restrictions since in January the pre-campaign period begins towards the gubernatorial elections. The new measures were published in the Official State Newspaper in which various restrictions were included to restaurants, schedules, public places, as well as the Dry Law.As part of the decree, it was established that the sale of alcoholic beverages will be from Monday to Saturday in normal hours until 22:00 hours while on Sunday its sale and distribution will be prohibited. Regarding social events, the decree states that restaurants will operate until 23:00 hours and in these enclosures the sale of alcohol will be allowed until 22:00 hours, while the event halls both palapas, gardens and pools will operate until 23:00 with a capacity not exceeding 50 percent. In tato the celebration of massive events, the state government said that due to the beginning of the pre-campaign period to the governorship of Tamaulipas, all the events held must have a capacity not greater than 50%.
