Classes announced at CIDE Centro; Santa Fe campus not yet dated

Starting this Monday, January 24, classes at the Center for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE) Central Region will resume in person after the students who kept the campus taken delivered it on December 16, said the general director of CIDE, José Antonio Romero Tellaeche.
Through a statement he sent to the community of this research center, the economist stressed that to resume face-to-face classes on campus in Santa Fe will require at least two weeks after the students who keep the campus taken deliver it.
“It is reported that due to the opening of the facilities of the CIDE Central Region, the corresponding procedures have been initiated to schedule the start of face-to-face school activities on January 24, 2022.

“Regarding the Santa Fe Headquarters, it is reported that prior to the start of the school year it is necessary to adapt the CIDE facilities to ensure that face-to-face classes are held in optimal conditions, which in order to be implemented require at least 15 working days prior to the start of the school year,” said Romero Tellaeche.

Since November 29, students have taken over the facilities of CIDE Santa Fe in protest at the appointment of Romero Tellaeche as general director of the institution.

On December 31, on New Year’s Eve, the change of campus surveillance service was carried out which went from a private service to the Federal Protection Services (SPF) which generated dissatisfaction among the student and teaching community of the center.
As of Tuesday, January 4, students have not commented on the release of the Santa Fe campus. They maintain their demand that Romero Tellaeche leave the position of general director and that the process in which the economist is not allowed to participate be replenished.
